New Zealand Relays for
Cancer
Research
Salt Lake City, Utah (March
19, 2008) 4Life corporate executives and distributors in
the companys New Zealand market recently participated in
Relay For Life, a fundraising event for
cancer
research sponsored by the Cancer Society of New
Zealand.
Relay For Life takes place in cities all over New Zealand.
The Hawkes Bay event featured over 100 teams competing in
a relay-style walk with team members taking turns keeping
their baton moving overnight. 4Life Distributors donated
their money, time, and 4Life Products to the event.
Distributors also participated in the relay itself and
lent assistance at both the registration desk and
survivors tent, which honored cancer survivors and their
supporters. Participants and supporters enjoyed the lively
event atmosphere, which featured entertainment, camping,
and prizes. The two-day event raised $200,000 NZD for
cancer
research.
4Life executives and
distributors in attendance included Managing Director of
Australia and New Zealand Ben Riley; and Health Sciences
Advisory Board member and cancer survivor Duane Townsend,
MD.
It was such a privilege to
be a part of the recent Relay For Life event, commented
Riley. It was great to join with 4Life Distributors in
serving people and raising money for a worthy cause. Im
grateful we could give back to this community and
participate in such a wonderful teambuilding experience
for distributors here in Hawkes Bay.

Foundation 4Life Feeds 965 Families Hurricane Noel:
Dominican Republic Field Report
Salt Lake City, Utah (January 29, 2008) 4Life
Research executives and corporate management
received a field report today about Foundation 4Life
activities in response to Hurricane Noel, a storm
that left more than 62,000 homeless. 4Life Gold
International Diamond Esdras Cabrera traveled to
Salt Lake City from the Dominican Republic to
deliver the presentation first-hand.
4Life
Executive Vice President Bruce Redd introduced Cabrera:
"I've known many distributors from many companies.
Esdras Cabrera is that rare kind of leader who places
others ahead of himself and exemplifies 4Life's mission
of Together, Building People."
Hurricane
Noel was the
deadliest storm of the 2007 Atlantic hurricane season.
With high mountain ranges and large numbers of people
living in homes along rivers, Dominicans suffered from
severe flooding.
"In one
area, a 4Life Distributor found entire blocks of houses
washed away," related Cabrera. "Whole foundations
crumbled into rivers that washed everything away."
Although the Dominican Republic received millions of
dollars in donations, there is now concern that little
of the money went to people who needed it. Foundation
4Life issued five tons of food (rice, beans, milk,
sugar, spaghetti, and oil) and fed 965 families. "Not
965 people," Cabrera
reiterated, "but 965 entire families, person by person
and house by house to people who were hit the worst."
4Life
Co-Founder Bianca Lisonbee responded to Cabrera's
presentation by remarking: "Each of us is a part of
this. Seeing the difference we can make in people's
lives is at once humbling and inspiring."

4Life Chief Executive Officer David Lisonbee
closed by saying: "We wouldn't be able to help
without a leader like Esdras. He was on the
ground. He stepped up in a very difficult
situation to negotiate food pricing and oversee
distribution. Field leadership is fundamental to
our non-profit successes around the world."
In September 2007 Esdras Cabrera received the
Credendo Vides
Award, 4Life's highest honor for distributors
who dedicate their lives to building others.
